Reality is stranger than fiction.
The year is 2042 and everything that people used to believe in now exists, and is tearing its way into our universe. Ghosts, Spring-Heeled-Jack, Vampires, Werewolves, even the damn Tooth Fairy, and it’s The Paranormal Abnormality Resistance Agency’s job to destroy anything that seeps through the veil.
Just as there was an industrial and technological boom throughout history, there was also a paranormal one. It started off slowly with just a few ghost stories and hauntings. Then Bigfoot sightings, Black-Eyed-Kids, The Hat Man, messages from the Mothman, Zozo, Demon and Angel sightings. Experiences with the paranormal slowly became less folklore and more mainstream. What began as cabinet doors opening in the night and rare cryptid sightings had taken a darker turn as the paranormal entities began to force their dominance upon earth. Mysterious disappearances, murders, and demonic possessions became more prominent with each news story shared around the internet. Belief in the supernatural only fed the beings more Æther energy. When defeated, this mysterious energy would absorb into P.A.R.A. operatives in the form of magic.
